One of my favourite place when i visit my mother is beach. This beach, which located at the city of Kabupaten Pacitan, facing the Indian Ocean. I think the wave is good enough for surfing for the beginner, well...at least medium-small wave you"ll find strike the large black to gray sand beach. However just be carefull with sometimes it is still found the animal look like jelly fish (don"t know what it is exactly) but it is enough to make you itchy. How to reach this beach? you can take bus from Madiun to Pacitan via Ponorogo. It is about 2-3 hour by car and you will find nice view of Java southern mountaineous, nice valley and the winding road. Another choice is you can access from Solo-Wonogiri- Pacitan or from Malang- Tulungangung-Trenggalek- Pacitan.
Another interesting place that you can find here in Pacitas is cave! therefore this city is famous as "city of thousands caves"
